Due to everybody's generosity I have not only reached my £5,000 target but gone 50% above it! Therefore, to try & match this overwhelming support from so many of you, I am going to up my training and commit myself to
more runs and training sessions per week, pushing myself to go that little bit faster and that little bit further that could make all the difference come race day.

This means an extra half-marathon training run every 2nd weekend and an extra gym session and training run every week - even in this cold weather!

To motivate me even more, I have doubled my target of £5,000 to £10,000 - so if you haven't already, please dig deep for such a worthy cause and remember, if you are a UK resident, please GiftAid it to add an extra 20% to your donation.

Following the theme of doubling up, there is now double the amount of Simonds’ running – my cousin Ed has received a Gold Bond charity place with Scope and will be running alongside (or maybe a little bit ahead of me) in the London Marathon 2011. He has yet to create a JustGiving page or blog, but when he does I will post a link here.

Thanks again to everyone who has donated. Your support and comments are really appreciated and I can't thank you enough. Don't forget to like, tweet, follow or subscribe to my blog!
